Weather conditions:

Spring arrived early (survey data), but a cold spell in late May delayed the start of snowmelt till normal dates. In the forest-tundra and southern tundra zones snow melted rapidly and in June-July the weather was predominantly warm.

BIOTIC CONDITIONS

Rodents abundance evaluation:

low

Breeding conditions:

Tracks of wolfs and bears were common and Arctic Foxes rare along the Kheta river middle flow.
 

Rodent dynamics:

According to visual evaluation vole numbers in the forest-tundra near the Khatanga settlement, Big Romanikha River mouth and Popigay depression were low or average.
